Cody and I had the best time in Maui on our honeymoon turned babymoon! We were there for a full week and spent a majority of the time just hanging out. However, I took a ton of recommendations alongside the things we did do and put them in this blog for you! Maui is for sure a place we would go back to!
There is nothing quite like DRA’ing and doing fluency tests on 25 children within the span of a few weeks. But I have cracked the code to get it all done without losing my sanity! I still have a few left to go but I am almost done for the year.
Well I am clear out of the first trimester and while I didn’t have any morning sickness or anything like that (thank goodness), there were a lot of changes that happened these past couple months. Here are 5 things I have loved having in the first trimester!
I am living for spring outfits! I am really into dresses lately and fun pants. Anything that has a little bit of color but is still pretty neutral & obviously I have to be able to sit on the floor or be jumping around in them. I linked all of these finds for you so you don’t have to go out and search. These are from some of my favorite stores : Amazon, Target, Get Your Teach on, Lulu’s, and Abercrombie.
I have been on my health journey for a long time depending on when you decide the starting point was. I feel like to a certain extent I have always cared about healthy habits and incorporating them into my life regardless of how old I was. However, I made a lot of choices in college until now that I have now since left in the dust.
Today on the blog I am hitting you guys with some cold hard … drinks. I have been cutting out alcohol for a while and I ended up giving it up for lent. But I am a drink girly through and through and I don’t want to just drink water all day and night. So I rounded up my favorite go-to’s that I like to have on hand!
I tracked my macros for over 4 years and I stopped. Macro tracking helped me learn about food, I understood how food affected my body, and I realized I didn’t have to fear the amount I was eating to get in the shape I wanted. However, as my life has changed and my priorities change, so have my eating habits. In this blog I share about why I stopped tracking macros and my plans moving forward with my eating habits!
You know those days when your kids finally leave and you feel as though your brain is fried, your energy is gone, and you don’t know how you’re going to make it to tomorrow? Those days suck and I’m having one today.
The morning is the easiest time for me to stick to my habits because there is little interruption. Cody’s still asleep and I can get a lot done. Whether it’s the weekend or before school, these 3 things are non-negotiables for me.
Read alouds are my favorite! It is so hard for me to choose because there are so many I love to read. Each year, I never get tired of re-reading past favorites but I always try to add new ones. I do my best to change up genres and differentiate character personalities and attributes to showcase a plethora of books and situations to my students.
