New topic on the blog! I’m actually so excited to have an actual header on this one, because before I would write a lot about mindset but I just put it underneath lifestyle. I was writing so much of it though, that I thought it needed it’s own space. I have just grazed the top of mindset and different strategies to use, but going into 2021 I have a lot of lofty goals and I know I can’t get there without a solid plan.
One of the best things you can do for yourself to analyze yourself. Not in like a creepy way, but actually take a step back and look at what’s serving you and what isn’t. Then get rid of all the toxic energy surrounding you. This will free up space to achieve all that you want in this life.
I created this downloadable worksheet for you to fill out. If I were you, I’d download it right now as you’re thinking about it and I would make 12 copies. Print them off if you like that or just have them on your computer in a folder to look back at each month. They’re super simple questions to answer, but forces you to look at your goals every single month and refocus on them.
The problem I have with New Years Resolutions is that they are great until February when you forget about them or until May when you give up.
For goal setting you to work, you have to actively work towards it. Which means that we have to create smaller goals in order to achieve the big one.
I only focus on 1 goal at a time.
Yupp. If you start to focus on too many things at once, you end up not making significant progress on any.
Want to pay off your student debt? Focus all your energy and extra money on that.
Want to achieve your best physique? Focus all your time and energy on that.
Once you get to your goal, then you can focus on another one.
I have a whole blog post about how I journal every morning and use my long and short term goals to help me through that, and I will link it here for you to check out! I also have a highlight on my Instagram about it.
Anyways, I focus on 1 big goal and then each month, I think of 3-5 smaller goals/habits I want to achieve that will bring me closer to that goal.
Eventually, I will achieve my long term goal and choose a new one to focus on!
I fill out a similar sheet like this every single month and use it as a book mark so I can read through it and look at it every day! I also post my goals on sticky notes and on my vision board so I’m constantly surrounded by them!
Let me know if you use this sheet, it’s free and easy but if you take the time to think about it each month I promise you will reach your goals way sooner! Tag me on Instagram or let me know in the comments below! Happy goal setting and enjoy your New Year!
xo,
Lauren
