My Thoughts On Youtube TV

There are so many TV services out there nowadays, Cody and I went back and forth on which one we wanted to use for literally months. I mean, part of it may have been us procrastinating, butttt we ended up choosing Youtube TV! (As you read through this I do want to say that we have never had any other TV services but I’ve babysat for families who use HuluLive).

We’ve been using YoutubeTV for a couple months now and I really like it! If you are someone who watches Youtube right now, it is going to work the same way as far as the layouts go. it is really easy to navigate with 3 tabs to choose from : Live, Home, & Library. I like the simplicity of it all, it is SO easy to work with and I can get to everything I need in just a few clicks.

Another thing I really love (which I’m sure other providers have) is the ability to record certain episodes. When you add something to your library, like my obsession with Guy’s Grocery Games, it will then record every new episode that airs for you. Then you don’t have to fumble around anywhere and you just click to your library and it will automatically update with the new one!

Another big plus, is that once it’s recorded, you can skip all the commercials! You just fast forward through the ridiculous long ads! When you watch live, you can also pause any time you want and then fast forward to get back to where it is currently on TV.

I don’t watch a whole lot of channels, so the ones that Youtube has right now are all the ones I normally watch (Food Network, ABC, HGTV). Then I also have Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon for other shows that I don’t watch on Youtube.

To be honest, I don’t have many cons, mainly because I just don’t watch a whole lot of TV in the first place.

One would be that they don’t get all the sports channels that me and Cody would love to watch. Mainly FSN which has a lot of our hockey games.

The other con I can think of, is sometimes they will throw ads in there that you can’t skip, although I’m sure you can pay extra for them to go away.

Overall, the price is very affordable and I love it for the few times I watch a day!

Curious though, do you have YoutubeTV or a different one? How do you like it?! Let me know in the comments below!
